Recycle & Composting

Rosewood Commons participates in Alameda County's mandatory recycle and composting program. Compost, mixed recycling, and trash receptacles can be found throughout the campus. We appreciate your efforts to help us comply by disposing of waste in the proper containers.

All to-go containers from Thrive Cafe and Peet's are compostable!

Composting and recycling is mandatory in tenant suites as well. We recommend that large compost, mixed recycling, and trash bins be placed in break rooms and other strategic areas throughout your suite. Alameda County also suggests eliminating under-desk trash bins as a way to help divert waste to the appropriate disposal method.

Cardboard boxes will not be disposed of unless they are completely broken down and clearly labeled as recycling. Please keep all broken down cardboard boxes in the same place. We suggest designating a place next to your large mixed recycling bin.
Rosewood Commons partners with Tech Exchange to pick up unwanted electronics from our tenants' spaces. Tech Exchange is a non-profit that aims to refurbish donated technology to provide to low-income families, schools, and non-profits to help eliminate the digital divide. Items that are not fit for reuse (ex. used batteries, printer toner) are collected, sorted, and processed through a local recycler.
